March 20 - Message from the High School Administration

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we are finishing the first week of the school closure, I wanted to reach out and check in with you. I realize that you are receiving many emails from various school officials, so I am limiting my correspondence to important “high school only” issues. We are in unprecedented times and every day brings new information and challenges. I hope that all of our families are safe and healthy. If you need any assistance, please email us so that we can contact organizations that can help, in any way needed.

I know many of the students are concerned about testing issues, please see the links for the most up to date information:

Advanced Placement testing changesupdated this afternoon

This information is also being posted to the District home page on our website SVPanthers.org.

Many students are very anxious about what the future holds, especially in regards to sports, senior events, the prom, and graduation. I am emailing them updates and posting information to the newsfeed in Schoology. At this time, there are no answers. We will have to wait and see how long we are out and what the Governor declares regarding school and gatherings. As soon as I have information, I will send it to everyone.

Academically, teachers will begin courses on Monday, March 23. Please have your child/children establish a daily schedule and engage in their schoolwork. If they have not already done so, please have them check their internet connection and check in with their teachers. Our goal is to create “normalcy” and establish relationships online to connect students with their teachers and classmates. As this type of instruction is new, there will be bumps and areas to work out. We ask for patience as we begin and we encourage communication to solve any issues!

Thank you for your support and we wish everyone good health in the coming days!

Thank you,

Ms. Gary, Principal

Mrs. Braxmeier, Assistant Principal

Mr. Frey, Director of Athletics
