Director of Strategic Initiatives and Academic Innovation
Saucon Valley School District seeks a Director of Strategic Initiatives and Academic Innovation. This position is responsible developing, implementing and leading projects, conducting research and identifying opportunities for growth within the District in areas including but not limited to: academic programs, integration of technology and innovative instructional practices. Candidate must organize logistics and take on detailed tasks that help initiatives succeed that contribute to the overall strategic success of Saucon Valley School District’s overall mission.
The position provides strategic and operational guidance and support to administrators, teachers, and staff as they design, develop, launch, and evaluate new innovative academic programs and approaches. The Director of Strategic Initiatives and Academic Innovation works with vendors and teams within Saucon Valley School District to create exemplary programs. The Director identifies and promotes best practices in academic programs and technology and provides day-to-day program operations oversight.
The Director will also assist in the evaluation process of curriculum and instruction as well initiating and managing funding for programming within the district.
REPORTS TO: Executive Leadership (Superintendent/Business Manager)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree preferred and 5 years professional work experience
- Educational Leadership experience or demonstrated experience in directing initiatives or innovation; project management, innovative thought and leadership
- Experience in an educational field or institution is preferred but not required

Supervisor of Instructional Programs
Saucon Valley School District seeks a Supervisor of Instructional Programs. The Supervisor of Instructional Programs is responsible for providing instructional leadership across K-12 subject areas. Position objectives include supporting the studying, evaluation, and implementation for research-based, standards aligned, curriculum and instruction; providing leadership in the development, articulation, and implementation of instructional programs; improving the instructional program by assisting with program evaluation; and assisting in the coordination of assessments. Oversees state testing programs, provides professional development to improve student achievement levels on state tests (PSSA/Keystones) and provides support in the analysis of state testing data.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- PA Administrative Certification (which allows for teacher supervision/evaluation) and a valid teaching certificate required.

Comprehensive School Psychology Internship 2023-2024 School Year
Saucon Valley School District has an opportunity for a comprehensive school psychology internship in a small, suburban setting, with excellent supervision and opportunities to pursue one's particular interests. The intern will be provided with a broad range of school psychology experiences, including evaluating students (with high incidence and also low incidence disabilities), consultation, and opportunities to present and receive professional development. It is expected that intern applicants will have acquired the basic skills and education necessary to enter into school psychology practice, including an understanding of test administration (with a variety of tests), report writing skills (and special education regulations/laws), the ability to present findings to staff and parents, consultation skills, and the ability to develop rapport with students and staff. It is also understood that the intern will be open to receiving supervision to further develop skills as a school psychologist. A stipend will be provided to the chosen candidate.
