• The Saucon Valley Foundation for Educational Innovation’s mission is to provide innovative learning
    opportunities for children in the Saucon Valley School District. Since the 2007 inception, we have
    raised private funds and in-kind donations for projects, programs, and creative experiences beyond
    the scope of the school budget for students in grades K-12.


    The Foundation invests in 3 programs:
     Small Grants
     Environmental Education Center
     21st Century Grants.

    Small Grants
    The Small Grants program supports creative teachers and their ideas. Requests for grants are
    submitted annually with a maximum of $2,500 awarded. The grants focus on seven areas:
    Technology, Arts, Cultural Enrichment, Scholastic Enhancement, Health & Wellness,
    Entrepreneurship and Professional Development. Over 140 grants worth over $152K have been
    awarded since inception. Examples of past grants awarded include:

    Environmental Education Center
    The EEC is a unique outdoor learning environment on 20 acres surrounding a stream which flows
    through the SV campus offering a hands-on opportunity to study the local natural environment. The
    outdoor classroom is incorporated into the science curriculum but influenced by art, math and social
    studies subjects.


    21st Century Grants
    A larger grant program which funds multi-year projects with three areas of focus: STEM,
    Communication, Literacy and College & Career Readiness. Examples of grants include:
