The Saucon Valley School District services students from Hellertown Borough and Lower Saucon Township. It is located approximately 55 miles north of Philadelphia and 85 miles west of New York City with easy access to I-78. Saucon Valley is a suburban community that supports high academic standards and an environment conducive to learning and achievement. It is just minutes away from Bethlehem, Easton and Allentown with their many educational, cultural and entertainment opportunities.
Special ProgramsDual Enrollment (Concurrent Enrollment): Saucon Valley High School provides the opportunity for students to earn high school and college credits at the same time through Dual Enrollment opportunities at Northampton Community College, DeSales University, and Penn State Lehigh Valley.
High School Scholars Program: High achieving high school seniors are invited to apply for this highly selective program that allows students to take college courses tuition free at Lehigh University, DeSales University, and Moravian College. Acceptance is based on selection criteria set forth by the individual colleges.
Project Lead the Way (PLtW): PLtW is the nation’s leading provider of rigorous and innovative STEM curricula for schools. PLtW’s hands-on, Activites-, Project-, Problem-based (APPB) comprehensive curriculum is aligned with relevant national standards and is collaboratively developed and updated by subject matter experts. The program emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, innovation, and real-world problem solving and provides students with a foundation and proven path to post-secondary training and career success in STEM-related fields.
