Paid Coaching / Extra Curricular Employment Requirements

  • Prior to employment as a coach or extracurricular adviser within the Saucon Valley School District it is important to complete all necessary employment and clearance paperwork prior to your name being submitted to the district for approval.

    The following items must be completed prior to beginning in your position as a coach or extracurricular adviser.

    1.   Completion of New Employee Packet

    2.   Completion of the FBI Federal Criminal History Clearance ($28.75)
                   a.   To be submitted every 36 months after initial clearance

    3.   Completion of Act 34 -  State Police Request for Criminal Record Check
          ($10.00)
                   a.   To be submitted every 36 months after initial clearance

    4.   Completion of Act 151 – Child Abuse History Clearance ($10.00)
                   a.   To be submitted every 36 months after initial clearance

    5.   Arrest/Conviction Report & Certification Form (No Cost)

     

    The following additional items must be complete for those whose position is as a coach within the Athletic Department

    6.   NFHS or Concussion Wise Approved Concussion Certification (No Cost)
                    a.   To be submitted with a passing grade yearly

    7.   Cardiac Wise Approved Cardiac Arrest Certification (No Cost)
                    a.   To be submitted with a passing grade yearly

    8.   PIAA Mandated NFHS Coaching Education Classes for all new coaches
          to be completed by 2017-2018 (Information to come at a later date)

     

    Once all necessary items are complete they should be delivered to the appropriate contact within the school district:               

                    Athletic positions, HS Extra Curricular Music Dept. positions, Musical
                    Production positions – Robert Frey, Athletic Director

                    HS Extracurricular (non athletic), HS Co-curricular, and HS Activities
                    Eric Kahler, Principal

                    MS Extracurricular (non athletic), MS Co-curricular, and MS
                    Activities – Pam Bernardo, Principal

                    ES Extracurricular (non athletic), ES Co-curricular, and ES Activities
                    Cindy Motter, Principal
