    Dear Parent/ Guardian, As a result of a change in regulations, the USDA has extended a nationwide waiver to allow the Saucon Valley School District to provide free meals to All students regardless of need through to December, 2020, or until available funding runs out. Through this waiver all children 18 years or younger who reside in the Saucon Valley School District and Community, are now eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch meal, regardless of the instructional model. Below are procedures for each model beginning on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 • Saucon Valley students, who attend in-classroom instruction and order a breakfast or lunch meal, will receive their meals at no charge. (for in session scheduled school days only). • Children/Students of the Saucon Valley Community who do not attend in-classroom instruction will have the option to pick up a "Grab and Go" breakfast and lunch meal at no charge, (Monday -Friday, between 11:00am -12 noon) at the middle school bus loop. ( for in session scheduled school days only). • (PARENT/GUARDIANS ARE PERMITTED TO PICK UP THE MEALS FOR THEIR CHILDREN). • As a reminder only children and students ages 18 or younger who attend the Saucon Valley SD or live in the Community are eligible for the free meal benefit. • This program will begin Tuesday, September 29, 2020 and will end on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 (or contingent on the availability of funding). • Your student's current meal benefit eligibility will resume back to a Free, Reduced or Paid status as of January 4, 2020- when school resumes after winter break. • At this time, please continue to submit applications for Free and Reduced priced meals for the 20-21 SY, so that your child's eligibility status remains current.
