Saucon Valley School District and Northampton County District Attorney’s Office to Host Parent Safety Nights

Hellertown, PA -- The Saucon Valley School District, in partnership with the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office, will host two Parent Safety Nights in November focused on helping families better understand the digital and social challenges facing today’s students.

The sessions will provide parents and guardians with practical information and strategies they can use to help their children navigate online spaces, social media and peer relationships safely.

Each session will address topics specific to the age and developmental needs of students at the middle and high school levels.

Middle School Parent Safety Night

Saucon Valley High School LGI

The middle school session will focus on challenges students may encounter as they begin navigating social media and more independent peer relationships.

Topics will include:

  • Cyberbullying
  • Social media safety
  • Teen dating violence

Parents and guardians will learn practical ways to start conversations with their middle schoolers, recognize potential concerns and help students make safe and responsible choices online and in their relationships.

High School Parent Safety Night

“Supporting Our High Schoolers in a Digital World”

November 5, 2026 | 7–8 p.m.
Saucon Valley High School LGI

The high school session will address some of the more complex digital and social challenges that students may face as teenagers.

Topics will include:

  • Sexting
  • Sextortion
  • Phone and app safety

The session will offer families information and tools to help guide their high school students through increasingly digital and social experiences.

The Saucon Valley School District recognizes that supporting students extends beyond the school day. As technology and social platforms continue to shape how students communicate and build relationships, families play an important role in helping children understand risks, make informed decisions and know where to turn when they need help.

These Parent Safety Nights are designed to give families an opportunity to learn, ask questions and have meaningful conversations about student safety in an increasingly digital world.

The District encourages parents and guardians of middle and high school students to attend the session appropriate for their child's age level.
