Elementary School Music Program

Elementary Music
General Music, Chorus & Band | Grades K–4
General Music
  • Students are on a six-day cycle schedule
  • Students attend music twice per cycle (approximately every three days)
  • The focus is on rhythm, melody, movement, listening and creative expression
  • Curriculum is sequential, and instruction is developmentally appropriate.

Elementary music is taught by Emily Aragona-Young and provides a strong foundation in musical literacy and performance readiness.

Chorus (Grades 3 & 4)
  • Open to all interested third- and fourth-grade students
  • Two performances annually (Winter & Spring)
  • Focus on vocal technique, ensemble skills and stage presence

4th Grade Band
  • Instrumental instruction begins in fourth grade
  • Emphasis on technique, music reading and ensemble development
  • Performs in the Spring Concert
