Four students hold professional certificates as they smile for a photo in front of a banner at the ceremony

Bethlehem, PA -- Professional excellence was on display at Saucon Valley School District this week as four students earned Professional Skills Certificates through a collaborative program with Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School (BAVTS) and Northampton Community College Center for Business and Industry (CBI).

The Professional Skills Certification course is a workplace readiness curriculum developed in partnership with Northampton Community College and delivered over 15 weeks.  The course focuses on strong self-knowledge, self-advocacy, expectations of professional conduct in the workplace and job-keeping skills. To be eligible to enroll, the student must have successfully demonstrated benchmarks in the areas of attendance, work ethic grade and overall grade. They must also receive a recommendation from their instructor.

Saucon Valley’s 2026 recipients are:

  • Jerik Lesser – Masonry
  • Bethany Dietrich – Electronics Technology
  • Jacob Gillespie – Commercial Art
  • Ty Lehr – Protective Services

Earning this certificate signifies that each student has distinguished themselves not only through technical proficiency in their field, but also through professional conduct and career readiness. The credential serves as a strong addition to their resume and signals to employers these graduates represent the highest tier of workforce-ready students.

Saucon Valley congratulates these students on their achievement and commends their commitment to excellence both in the classroom and in career preparation.
