Mifflinburg, PA -- Congratulations to Saucon Valley High School's Envirothon Team!
Participants proudly represented Northampton County at the state competition held in Mifflinburg yesterday.
The team included:
- Captain - Stepan Goudsouzian (Forestry)
- Jacob Norwood (Wildlife)
- Nevair Gousouzian (Aquatics)
- Ryan Pakzad (Soils)
- Kyle Chi (Current Issue)
- and Advisor Kimberly Mertz.
The team worked together at each of the five stations listed above to complete knowledge, application and practical assessments.
They also had to create a 20-minute oral presentation on non-point source pollution.
The team placed 3rd in Forestry, 2nd in Soils and 3rd -- out of 67 teams -- overall. We are #PantherProud of your knowledge and teamwork. Way to represent SVSD!
