Hellertown, PA -- Saucon Valley High School’s spring musical production of “The Drowsy Chaperone” has earned four nominations for the 2026 Freddy Awards. 

The Freddy Awards are presented annually by the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton and celebrate excellence in high school musical theater across Lehigh and Northampton counties in Pennsylvania and Warren County, New Jersey.

Saucon Valley received nominations in the following categories:

  • Outstanding Technical Design by a Smaller School
  • Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role — Ryan Pakzad as Aldolpho
  • Outstanding Featured Performance by an Actor — Jaxon Beke as Man in Chair
  • Outstanding Overall Production by a Smaller School

Lex Donatelli directed the “The Drowsy Chaperone," which featured approximately 60 students in the cast and crew. There were several performances spanning April 16-19. The show has received praise for its energy, comedic timing and strong technical execution.

The Freddy Awards ceremony will take place May 21, 2026, at the State Theatre Center for the Arts and will be broadcast live on WFMZ-TV.

Saucon Valley School District congratulates all students, staff members, directors, volunteers and families involved in this year’s production. Whether SVSD wins or not, this year's production was a true success.
