Saucon Valley High School is beaming with Panther Pride as it announces the senior student named a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Hellertown, PA -- Senior Alexander Morawski has been recognized as a Finalist in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program. This prestigious honor places Alexander in the top 1% of high school seniors nationwide and demonstrates Alexander's exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.

To achieve Finalist status, Alexander maintained an outstanding academic record throughout high school, earned a confirming score on the SAT or ACT and was recommended by school officials.

Saucon Valley School District is proud of Alexander's efforts. By securing this spot, Alexander restores a tradition of top-tier academic excellence at SVHS. As a Finalist, he is now in the running for a share of nearly $26 million in scholarship awards to be announced this spring.

"This is special," said High School Principal Dr. Richard Kaskey. "In a school that produces many high-achievers, Alexander has distinguished himself as a true standout in the Class of 2026."

Alexander’s success is particularly special this year. After a two-year hiatus in 2024 and 2025, when SVHS saw no students advance to the Finalist stage, Alexander has broken the streak. Congratulations!
