Hellertown, PA -- Earlier this school year, Saucon Valley students brought creativity and culinary skill to the kitchen during our annual “Chopped”-style cooking competition. Working in teams, students were challenged to develop original recipes that combined flavor, presentation and teamwork.

Here are the three winning dishes:

  • Chicken Sandwich on Whole Wheat: The winning team included Michael Sanders, Sam Smith, Teagan Spencer and Jacob Weikert.
  • Lemon Chicken: This winning dish was prepared by Braden Rohn, Nicholas Dries, Morgan Seyfried and Emma Hill, with Braden and Nicholas serving as the primary cooks.
  • Chicken Kabobs and Blueberry Crisp: Kristin Lussier, Norah Dean, Keenan Duch, Stella Solis and Kaylyn Cody earned top honors. Kristin, Norah and Stella led the cooking efforts, delivering a cohesive, tasty and well-presented meal.
