Congrats & Best of Luck to SV Wrestling!

Congrats to our SV Wrestlers, who are headed to the PIAA Class 2A Team Wrestling Championships. Make us proud!

Hellertown, PA -- Saucon Valley’s wrestling program is headed back to the PIAA Class 2A Team Wrestling Championships! The team had a dominant postseason performance, showcasing the Panthers’ depth and resilience.

The Panthers earned their second consecutive team championship with its finals victory. The win was punctuated by early bonus-point wins and multiple first-period pins that swung momentum in the team's favor.

A key moment came at 215 pounds, where junior Liam Stoneback delivered a pivotal pin to extend the Panthers’ lead. Stoneback, who returned from an injury that ended his previous season early, played a key role throughout the postseason and helped the team secure critical victories.

Saucon Valley’s success was fueled by contributions across the board. Several wrestlers delivered fast pins and technical falls, while others stepped up by earning critical team points. The Panthers’ ability to secure bonus points proved decisive, especially when narrow margins separated advancement from elimination.

Head coach Chad Shirk credited the team’s collective effort and their prep. He notes wrestlers embraced their roles and competed with confidence in high-pressure situations.

With the championship win, Saucon Valley improves to 15-3 on the season and advances to the PIAA Class 2A Team Wrestling Championship. The Panthers head to Freedom High School tonight -- hoping to continue postseason run with a deep push at the state level.
