Hellertown, PA -- Our third- and fourth-grade students got a firsthand look at the different paths their futures can take during Career Day!
We were proud to welcome a wide range of professionals who shared their experiences, answered questions, and inspired curiosity.
This year’s presenters covered a host of professionals and public servants, including:
- Ashley Dayoub - Paralegal/Law
- Tiffany Wells - Deputy Director, Bethlehem Parking Authority/Engineering
- Jim Rayner - Firefighter/Emergency Response
- Jill Borger - College Student pursuing Psychology and School Counseling
- David Ruyak - Arborist
- Thomas Barndt & Steve Kunigus - Chief of Police & K9 Officer, Lower Saucon Township
- Melissa VanDoren - Civil Engineering/Philanthropy
- and Sargent Bryant - U.S. National Guard.
To make the day even more engaging, students completed a Career Day scavenger hunt tied to each presentation and took time to reflect on what they learned and which careers sparked their interest.
Thank you to our elementary school counselors -- Ms. Joanna Suriel and Ms. Kelly Wehr -- who put so much time and energy into organizing the day and to all of our guest speakers for investing in our students and helping to bring learning to life!
