The next round of Pawsitive Panthers are first grade leaders who exemplify what it means to be safe, respectful, responsible and kind.

Hellertown, PA --  Saucon Valley Elementary School proudly recognizes another group of students nominated for the school’s  Pawsitive Panther Award.

This award honors students who show a positive attitude, strong work habits and solid character by living the school’s core values of Respect, Responsibility, Safety and Kindness. The students are nominated by their teachers for strengthening their classroom communities and are subsequently recognized for their positive traits and endeavors at a school board meeting.

Meet the Pawsitive Panthers

Madelyn “Maddie” Ball: The Inclusive Listener

Maddie shows respect by listening attentively and leading by example. She is a hard worker who actively participates in class and offers support to others whenever they need it. By following class rules and making thoughtful choices, Maddie ensures safety for everyone. Her kindness and inclusive nature make the classroom a brighter place each day.

Chloe Martinez-Tejeda: The Helpful Partner

Chloe is recognized for her cooperation and her ability to be a focused, helpful partner. She always does her best to complete her work and stay on task. Chloe is respectful of personal space and follows school safety rules. Quick to lend a helping hand, she always thinks of including others in classroom activities.

Jack Blacker: The Encouraging Friend

Jack is a wonderful listener who always waits to be called on before speaking. He takes his time to produce high-quality work and shows great responsibility by keeping the environment safe for others. With a big smile and a positive attitude toward learning, Jack encourages his classmates to succeed and brings joy to his teachers and peers alike.

Eve Johnson: The Role Model Student

Eve is a student who strives to do her best in every situation. She follows directions the first time they are given and completes her work without reminders. She consistently produces high-quality results independently and in groups. Eve is always kind to her classmates and serves as a role model by following classroom expectations with ease.

Cooper Clarke: The Diligent Learner

Cooper is an enthusiastic learner who loves sharing ideas and discovering new facts. He is responsible in following directions and using classroom tools safely. Whether he is excelling at math facts or including others at recess, Cooper uses kind words and hard work to help make his classroom a happy, productive environment.

Eleanor Mann-McNew: The Exemplary Leader

Eleanor demonstrates a strong work ethic and a polite, controlled demeanor. She manages her belongings neatly, leads her peers safely in the hallways and helps others when instructions are complex. Eleanor is never boastful or demanding; instead, she approaches every task and classmate with kindness, courtesy and a desire to help.

Honored at the School Board Meeting

The recognition of Pawsitive Panthers concludes with a celebration at a School Board meeting, where students are honored for their character and contributions. They read aloud the nominations submitted by their teachers and, in turn, become even stronger leaders.

  • Leading the Pledge: Selected students lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

  • Sharing Achievements: Students explain why they were nominated and identify which core values they represent.

  • Community Recognition: The celebration reinforces the importance of character and citizenship across the district.
