Advanced Placement (AP) allows students to take courses in high school that can earn them college credit and potentially qualify them for more advanced classes when they begin college. The courses are designed to give students an idea of how college classes are structured while still in high school. College credit can be earned for the class if the AP exam is passed. Different colleges require different scores that count as passing so it is important to check with your intended colleges to see what they require on an AP exam to receive credit.
At the conclusion of each class, students are prepared for and encouraged to take their AP courses respective exam in May. The AP Courses offered at Saucon Valley can be viewed in the Program of Studies.
