2021 Hellertown Lions Club Scholarship Application
The Hellertown Lions Club is offering one $2,000 scholarship to a Saucon Valley High School senior who has shown dedication in the classroom and to the community. At 95 years of age, Hellertown Lions Club is the oldest civic service organization in Saucon Valley. Hellertown Lions are a gorup of men and women who belong to the world's largest service organization devoted to helping the blind. The main goal of Hellertown Lions Club is to help the visually and hearing impaired citizens and others in need. The criteria for the applicants interested in applying for the scholarship is as follows:
- Applicant should be in the upper third of his/her class
- Applicant should be involved in school and community volunteer serices
- Applicant should continue his/her education in a college or trade school

Scholarship and Internships are available for FREDDY Awards participating students
West Virginia University – West Virginia University–WVU Theatre & Dance is excited to participate with this year’s FREDDY© Awards! The award presented will provide a scholarship from WVU and the School of Theatre Dance, which when combined with other awards from West Virginia University, will be equivalent to the cost of university tuition. The award is renewable over 8 semesters of study. The Application will open on March 1st and close on May 8th.
Students interested in enrolling in WVU School of Theatre and Dance in the Fall of 2022 as Musical Theatre or Design & Technology majors are encouraged to apply. Click HERE for full requirements and to register.
Muhlenberg College – The Muhlenberg College Scholarship consists of $5,000 Talent Scholarship, renewable for three years, to a theatre and/or dance student attending a high school which participates in the FREDDY© Awards program who has been accepted by and decides to attend Muhlenberg College. DeSales University – DeSales University is pleased to offer (4) $5,000 scholarship opportunities (renewable for 3 years for a total of $20,000) to senior Theatre students attending a high school which participates in the 2021 FREDDY© Awards program. Scholarships will only be awarded to students who have applied to DeSales after April 1, 2021 and who are academically accepted to DeSales University and artistically accepted into the Theatre program. Northampton Community College – State Theatre FREDDY© Awards Scholarship consists of a $1,000/Year Scholarship for NCC’s 2021-2022 academic year. Students applying for the 2021 NCC/ FREDDY© Awards Scholarship DO NOT have to be Theatre Majors BUT they must plan to enroll at NCC for the Fall 2021 semester and be registered for 6 or more credit hours. Pennsylvania Youth Ballet/Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley – ALL Dancers from Freddy Participating Schools are eligible for a 3 week FULL scholarship to Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Summer Intensive! Choose any 3 weeks, or single class equivalent, during our summer program (June 21 – July 30) at the Ballet Guild studios in Bethlehem, PA. Dance classes offered include – Ballet, Conditioning, Tap, and Musical Theater! – Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Instructors will choose 8 WINNERS for the summer scholarships! Learner Education Women in Mathematics Scholarship
Deadline: July 31, 2021
Eligibility: To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate mathematics or related fields degree program at a 4-year, 2-year, vocational, or technical institution in the United States OR a graduating high school senior who has plans to study mathematics or related fields.
Applicants must also be a US citizen or a permanent legal resident.
The East Penn Section of ASHE is pleased to announce the Robert L. Brown and Robert L. Donovan Memorial Scholarship Program. This program will award a minimum of three scholarships of at least $3000 to high school seniors who are enrolled or planning to enrolling in a program leading to a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil and Construction Engineering Technology.
The Pennsylvania Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (PBFAA) 2021 Youth Scholarship

The Pennsylvania Burglar & Fire Alarm Association is the state trade association for professional burglar and fire alarm companies.
We work closely with law enforcement and fire service officials in the course of our business and we strive to enhance this relationship to better serve the public safety and security needs.
The PBFAA / ESA Youth Scholarship Program is an extension of this outreach, and is designed to recognize the achievement of worthwhile students who are children of active duty law enforcement and fire service personnel.
The members of the Pennsylvania Burglar & Fire Alarm Association and Electronic Security Association provide the funding for the scholarship.

Saucon Valley Alumni Association
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a SVHS senior who has graduated in good standing from SVHS and who has been accepted at and will be attending an accredited four year college/university no later than the Fall semester following the student's graduation. To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, the student must be related to a Saucon Valley (aka Hellertown High School) alumnus (Parent, Grandparent, Sibling).
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a SVHS senior who has graduated in good standing from SVHS and who has been accepted at and will be attending an accredited two-three program, such as a community college or technical school, no later than the Fall semester following the student's graduation. To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, the student must be related to a Saucon Valley (aka Hellertown High School) alumnus (Parent, Grandparent, Sibling).
Bart Pitman Memorial Music Scholarship
College or conservatory-bound high school seniors who plan to declare a major in classical piano or organ in the fall semester of 2021 are invited to apply for the $5,000 Bart Pitman piano/organ scholarship. The applicant must reside in or study with a teacher who resides in Pennsylvania or New Jersey. Award money will be applied to the winner’s college tuition package.
Applicants should be prepared to play from memory three pieces of contrasting periods or composers from the standard classical piano or organ literature. A jury of professional keyboard musicians will select a winner on the basis of a live audition performance. Only one winner will be selected per year. The judges reserve the right to choose no winner if appropriate.
Please complete and submit the application form by April 10, 2021.
Saucon Valley Lions Club Scholarship Award
This grant is provided to an outstanding senior student of the Saucon Valley Senior High School who has been accepted to an accredited two or four year college in a program leading to a degree. The award will consist of a $500 grant payable in the amount of $500 upon the successful completion of the first semester.
The following criteria are employed in the award selection process:
1. The student shall be a graduating senior of SVHS.
2. The student shall maintain a 2.5 gpa at the conclustion of the third marking period of the senior year.
3. The student shall show a substantial need of financial aid.
4. The student shall have demonstrated some involvement in the school's co-curricular program.
5. The student shall have demonstrated some involvement in community activities.
6. Applications must be returned to Saucon Valley Lions Club, PO Box 217, Hellertown, PA 18055 and must be postmarked by May 30, 2021.

Available to two young men and two young women for $4,000 each.
The Scholarship Fund was established to assist local high school graduates with college expenses and is funded by LVRR races and through fund raising efforts of the club. This is one way the club gives back to the community.
Its purpose is to foster interest in the sport we love and to demonstrate our commitment to youth running. By supporting young people wo have demonstrated academic and athletic excellence, community involvement, and a strong interest in running, we are encouraging healthy, productive and disciplined lifestyles in these young adults who will be the leaders of the future.
Applicant eligibility and selection requirements are as follows:
Applicants must be PA resident for the past two years, a graduating high school senior from either Lehigh or Northampton counties, a member of their high school cross counry or track team and must compete as an individual in running events.
Applicats must have a minimum 3.0 GPA as certified by their guidance counselor and be accepted at a 2 or 4 year college.
Scholarships are also based on extracurricular activities and community involvement including LVRR events.
Two letters of recommendation are required, one from their cross country or track coach and the other from an individual not related to them, such as a teacher, employer, etc. (They can be emailed directly to firstname.lastname@example.org
An essay of about 250 words on how running has influenced their life and what the sport has meant to them personally.
An acknowledgment signed by a parent or legal guardian that collegiate athletic association regulations may prohibit the applicant from accepting the scholarship if they are attending college on an athletic scholarship.

How has your experience with mental health influenced your beliefs, relationships, and career aspirations?
The scholarship is open to students at any educational level and field of study. The only application requirement is that students have personally experienced challenges with mental health or have had people close to them who have experienced mental health challenges.
When is the scholarship deadline?
The application deadline is June 1, 2021. Winners will be announced in August 2021.
What is the scholarship prize?
The scholarship award is $500.
When will the winner be chosen and notified?
The winner will be publicly announced in August 2021. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
How will the scholarship be paid?
We will send the $500 award check to the winner’s academic institution in their name, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school’s requirements).
How will my application be verified?
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to verify their academic enrollment status by providing a copy of their most recent transcript.

Northampton County Association of Township Officials
Northampton County Association of Township Officials announces the offering of a Scholarship in the amount of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000). Qualifications are:
1. Must be a student residing in a Second Class Township located in Northampton County
2. Financial Need
3. School and COmmunity Activity Involvement
4. GPA will be considered as part of the qualification process
Every high school graduate who applies by the deadline and meets the above qualifications will be considered for this scholarship.
