"A Message from the President"

The Saucon Valley Alumni Association is entering its fifth year of incorporation status, and I am honored to begin serving as your next President.  Members have commented that “we have come a long way.”  I rethought that statement as I considered the nomination as the next SVAA’s President. 

In 2003, a small group of alumni met to discuss why an Alumni Association should be organized for all Hellertown High School, Hellertown-Lower Saucon High School, and Saucon Valley High School alumni.  The consensus was because of their fond memories and lasting friendships that began from their earliest educational years through to graduation. 

The SVAA was incorporated in 2004 and continues to demonstrate its Mission Statement by promoting the best interests of the school community by fostering enthusiasm, involvement, and close relationships.  The Association has worked closely with student organizations within our school district, illustrated pride in our community by being a part of annual community events, and rekindled alumni relationships at sports events, holiday gatherings, and sponsored excursions for alumni families and friends.

As we begin another year, the SVAA will strive to locate more of our Alumni and assure them that while we all have come a long way since graduation, our roots are still alive in Hellertown and Lower Saucon Township.   Please consider becoming a member by selecting one of our Panther membership levels from our Membership Application form on this website and joining us at our monthly meetings in the High School Library at 7:00 PM on the fourth Thursday of the month.
